Artful House’s Phobjika Collection is handcrafted from fine bone china with a hand painted golden rim. Phobjika is a valley in Bhutan which is designated as a conservation area. It is famous for the Gangtey monastery which dates back to the 16th century. In the winter months it is home to the endangered black neck crane who come here annually.
It is rumoured that the birds after their long flight from Tibet circle the monastery thrice and then only come to rest in the valley. The valley obtains electricity through underground cables which was done to avoid birds getting hurt in the transmission lines.
This collection is a tribute to these beautiful creatures and the valley that sustains them. Pricing is for a set of 6 plates.
Pair it with the dinner plates and serving bowls from the same collection to complete your table
